Mumbai Indians First win

The Mumbai team, mired with controversy surrounding Harbhajan Singh, put out Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets at the Eden Gardens to score their first win in five matches.

The Kolkata team suffered its second straight loss, after scoring two successive wins.

Chasing a modest 138 to win, Mumbai were reduced to 25 for three in the fifth over before a 113-run fourth-wicket partnership between Bravo and Robin Uthappa (37 not out) sealed them a win.

Bravo's 53-ball knock contained eight boundaries and a huge six and ensured Mumbai's win with eight balls to spare.

Ajit Agarkar, Ishant Sharma and Ashok Dinda took a wicket each for the Knight Riders, but the home team's total was too paltry in the final analysis.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians' veterans Sanath Jayasuriya and Shaun Pollock stole the limelight, wrecking the top and middle order of the Kolkata Knight Riders, to restrict the hosts to a modest 137 for 8.

Harbhajan Slaps Sreesanth

Harbhajan Singh found himself embroiled in yet another controversy after allegedly slapping Kings XI paceman S Sreesanth during their Indian Premier League encounter at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali on Friday (April 25). A day after this incident, Mumbai Indian's stand-in captain Harbhajan Singh Bhajji seems to be losing support from his own team - Mumbai Indians. TIMES NOW have learnt that the members of his side have confirmed that Harbhajan had slapped Sresanth soon after Kings XI Punjab won the Match. Meanwhile the BCCI has made note and advised senior members of the Mumbai Indians side to stay away from the controversy. Sources have told TIMES NOW that Kings XI Punjab owners Ness Wadia and Preity Zinta have called for a ban on the turbanator. Match referee submits report to BCCI Match referee Farookh Engineer, who is adjudicating into the row involving Harbhajan Singh and S Sreesanth, today (April 26) said he will conduct a hearing into the matter on Monday in New Delhi.

Rajasthan's Royal Victory

The Australian domination in the IPL continued as the two Shanes - Watson and Warne - starred with bat and ball respectively to power Rajasthan Royals to their maiden victory in the tournament, fittingly in front of their home crowd at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. A restrictive spell of 3 for 19 by Shane Warne restricted Kings XI Punjab to what appeared to be a par score of 166 but the target was overhauled fairly comfortably, thanks to a fiery 49-ball 76 by Watson, supported by a fearless unbeaten 36 by Ravindra Jadeja.
